SHE'S GOT A NEW HOUSE!

'Baan Mai' is the latest incarnation of that old teak rice barn some of you will remember lying under the tarpaulin in our car park for so many years. It has 2 floors with 2 private bedrooms, each with it's own private shower and toilet. We've needed this for a long time, bedrooms for guests who can't get upstairs as well as for guests who can't, or don't like to go downstairs at night!

"Like teak gothic chapels,": said Christopher when these photos were first posted in September, "and they'll be ready the next time you come..."

   
Cement by hand, and everybody there to move it: Bang with the barrow behind Homprang, Saman everywhere, Nit barefoot on a tightrope, Chian in pink, his head totally wrapped-up in blue, Top in the big, big hat, and Anne, Teune our yogin from Belgium with our new worker, Sa-aat, another Lua from Mae Hong Son like his cousin Janhom, and Lung Kip, of course, doing his best to keep up.

                          And now at last BAAN MAI's all done!
